The whole palace is well thought through by the architects, and almost everything including the gardens, are built in a symmetric way. The Palace of Versailles is another must see in France, and it is conveniently placed only 12 miles outside of Paris.
If you enjoy relaxing in other settings than the big city, France luckily has a lot to offer with its beautiful nature, and pretty villages. A great place to visit if you are into the more relaxed surroundings is Provence. Provence is a landscape of soft hills covered in olive trees, small cozy villages and the spectacular lavender fields. Lavender in itself is a beautiful and purple flower, so just imagine thousands of them planted in the fields across the countryside. Nothing less than gorgeous.
